Meet the 7th & 8th Grade Science and Technology Teacher from Horizon Middle School.
 Mr. Sonny John
Referring back to the introduction page of this website you may remember me telling you about a teacher I had in middle school named; Mr. John. He is the person who introduced me to computers and the area of computer technology. Because of Mr. John and his guidance I would like to honor him by making his interview the ‘October Feature Article’.
At the end of the 7th grade I attended a convocation that had what was called ‘an end of the year video’ and then found out Mr. John was the producer. I immediately signed up to help the next year! Also, at the yearly talent show the teachers have a small bans and one of the songs that they played was sweet home Alabama and other good songs.
Q: What made you become a teacher?
A: Always enjoyed working with kids. I once taught 2, 7 year olds to ride bikes. That feeling of satisfaction may have led to a teaching career.
Q: How did you become such a good guitarist?
A: I'm not! I just enjoy playing.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do when there is nothing else to do?
A: Fishing and getting out into the woods.
Q: How did you get involved in computers?
A: When I worked at an elementary school they needed someone to take care of the computers not knowing much. I accepted and enjoyed it enough to get my masters degree in technology.
