There are no unbeaten Greater Spokane League girls basketball teams after Shadle Park pulled off the season's shocker.
The Highlanders (12-4) upset league leader Lewis and Clark (15-1) 54-45 to continue their best season since winning the GSL in 1995.
Shadle had yet another strong second-half finish, outscoring the host Tigers 20-6 in the fourth quarter.
The Highlanders were 19 for 23 from the free-throw line and committed only two fouls in the second half to keep LC off the line. The hosts shot only 33 percent from the field.
Katelan Redmon (17 points) and Lyndi Seidensticker combined for 29 of LC's 45 points.
Gonzaga Prep 61, Central Valley 40: The host Bullpups (10-6) blew open the game in the middle two quarters to lead 40-19 over the Bears (4-13). Jenna Sayman scored 16 points and Mariah Knopp hit two 3-pointers to have her second straight 11-point outing. Tara Cronin pulled down 10 rebounds, had 10 assists and five steals. Justine Bowman brought CV back late and finished with a game-high 22 points.
East Valley 51, Rogers 34: The Knights (5-9) ended a six-game losing skid (and nine of their last 10) at home against the Pirates (4-13). A 20-5 second-quarter did the trick. Kelsi Jacobson and Ashley Grater each scored 13 points for the winners and Grater had nine rebounds. Denisha Whitehead scored 15 and D'Erica Jones 14 for Rogers.
